This ancestral technique of Terre Mêlée (mixed clays) earthenware dates back to the 18th century. Each piece is hand-sculpted from clay that has been infused with oxides. Once stamped into shape, the clay is left to dry in the sunlight. Once dried, it takes several dedicated hours to sand down the object to a thin layer. The entire process takes highly skilled hands and artistry, as well as patience to develop these incredible unique and beautiful pieces. Only after two firings does the magic reveal the final colors. We are in awe of the hands that take the time and concentration to develop these unique tableware and decorative pieces.
As these pieces are one-of-a-kind and quite delicate due to their hand-made nature, they are final sale and not accepted for returns or exchanges. If you would like more information or images, please don't hesitate to contact us at info@shopbradleycottage.com!
