Created in collaboration with Kentucky artist Emily Ridings, these handwoven reed lampshades were thoughtfully designed to complement our Terre Mêlée lamp collection. Drawing from traditional basketry techniques, Emily crafts each shade entirely by hand, celebrating the beauty of natural materials and time-honored craftsmanship.
The warm, organic texture of the woven reed provides a beautiful contrast to the fluid marbled patterns of the ceramic base, creating a balance between movement and structure. Together, the lamp and shade form a harmonious pairing that feels both sculptural and timeless.
Each lampshade is individually woven, resulting in subtle variations that reflect the artistry and character of the handmade process.
